Maison Tardieu is a Caribbean artisan house rooted in the mountain village of Paramin, Trinidad. We make things by hand - bags, botanical products, curated gifts - shaped by the landscape, the light and the materials of the southern Caribbean.
Everything that leaves our atelier is made with intention. No mass production, no shortcuts; just craft, care and an uncompromising sense of place.
At the heart of it is founder and Creative Director Aurora Tardieu - artist, stage performer, writer, strategist and aspiring nutritionist, with a mind that refuses to be singular. Aurora is what's known as an M-type creative: someone whose intelligence and imagination move across disciplines rather than down a single path. Maison Tardieu is the house she is building to honour that. A space where craft, wellness, psychology and the arts don't compete with one another, but compound. She is currently studying Psychology minoring in HRM, with intentions to extend into Nutrition and Art Therapy, both of which she envisions as living threads within the Maison Tardieu world.
But the house was always meant to hold more than one story. The vision is a creative hub where Caribbean artists and makers find not just work, but a foundation for life: real income, real skills, community support and the kind of exposure that helps them go on to build something of their own.
